Founding Account Executive
Location: Remote (US) | Type: Full-time | Reports to: COO
The Role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, full-cycle sales leader to own the entire journey from first touch to close. This is not just about volume; it’s about selling consultatively to modern retail organizations (eComm, Digital Merchandising, and Marketing). You will build the pipeline, run discovery, lead high-impact demos, and navigate complex procurement and legal processes to secure annual contracts.
What You’ll Own
- Full-Cycle Revenue Generation: Source and close annual and pilot contracts, managing deals from initial outreach through final signature.
- Strategic Deal Management: Diagnose retailer goals and constraints to build clear mutual action plans and navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes.
- Executive Demos + Business Case: Deliver compelling storytelling and data validations that connect CFY’s tech to tangible business outcomes like conversion and repeat engagement.
- Multi-threaded Engagement: Build relationships across eCommerce, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Procurement.
- Commercial Negotiation: Lead pricing and SOW negotiations with a focus on clear long-term value.
- Sales Rigor: Maintain pristine HubSpot hygiene and provide accurate forecast visibility to leadership.
- Product Feedback Loop: Partner with CS and Product teams to ensure we are delivering the solutions sold and continuously refining our pitch based on market feedback.
Ideal Candidate
- Builder Mindset: Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where you’ll help build the playbooks, not just follow them.
- Coachability and curiosity: learns fast, runs tight experiments, iterates messaging
- Retail/eComm Expertise: 4–10+ years of experience closing enterprise retail deals (B2B SaaS preferred).
- Deal Ownership: A proven track record of managing complex sales cycles from outreach to signature.
- Executive Presence: High-level communication skills—writing and speaking with clarity, confidence, and warmth.
- Strategic & Organized: Ability to run clean deal plans and follow through on rigorous procurement processes.
- Data discipline: uses numbers to prioritize accounts and improve conversion through the funnel
