Overview

Mesh is looking for a Head of Finance to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction for the Company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, accounting (accounts payable/receivable) and strategic planning. You will work closely with the Executive team to drive growth and optimize financial performance while ensuring the Company stays in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will report directly to the Co-Founder/Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
• Oversee financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to inform decision-making.
• Evaluate and manage financial risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and drive operational efficiency.
• Lead the preparation of financial presentations for stakeholders, including investors and board members.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, auditors, and regulators.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial operations and enhance productivity.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting function including accounts payable and receivable, employee expense management and payroll and tax administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Prior experience in a senior finance role is a must.
• Prior experience working at an early stage company preferred, and prior experience working in the fintech/blockchain industry a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Effective communicator and leader, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams, with a focus on mentorship and professional growth.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and its applications in finance is a plus.
