NOCAP Sports is the commercial operating partner embedded inside 60+ university athletic departments like Florida State, South Carolina, Pittsburgh and SMU. We generate recurring revenue for schools by connecting them with enterprise brand partners like Hertz, Walmart, Wasteology, Shell, and more, alongside alumni business networks, athlete marketing programs, and university procurement. Our position inside the athletic department is what makes us different, and it is the foundation everything we build is held to.
Team Overview
The University Growth Team owns how NOCAP grows revenue for the schools we partner with. Our Account Leads own the relationship and strategy for each university partner. The Partner Growth Associate is the horsepower behind them, the person who builds, works, and helps close pipeline across our partnership suite, with a specific focus on the alumni-owned businesses that make each school's network commercially valuable.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Partner Growth Associate to grow revenue for our top university partners by activating their alumni business networks. You will support our Account Leads across several school accounts, sourcing and qualifying alumni-owned businesses, building and working pipeline, and helping drive deals to close. This is an entry point into partnerships. You don't need to have done all of this before, but you do need to pick things up fast and run with them.
The ideal candidate is scrappy, hungry, and a self-starter who treats a quiet pipeline as a problem to solve, not a reason to wait. You're the kind of person who figures out what you don't know, teaching yourself the tool, the process, or the pitch, and coming back with it done. You're fluent or becoming fluent with AI tools and automations and use them to do the work of a much larger team, enriching lists, drafting outreach, cleaning data, and removing the busywork so you can spend your time where it counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and qualify alumni-owned businesses across NOCAP's partnership suite, building targeted lists for each of your assigned university accounts.
- Build and work pipeline through outbound and follow-up across email, phone, and social to open conversations and book meetings for Account Leads.
- Support Account Leads on the account plan for each school, moving opportunities from first touch through qualification, proposal, and close, and keeping every deal current in the CRM.
- Drive and help close revenue directly on smaller and mid-sized alumni deals, and tee up larger opportunities for the Account Lead to close.
- Leverage AI tools and automations to build efficiency into everything you do, including prospect research and enrichment, list-building, outreach drafting, CRM hygiene, and reporting.
- Maintain clean, accurate, up-to-date pipeline data so Account Leads and leadership always know where each account stands.
- Learn and report what's working across schools, including the messaging, the offers, and the alumni segments that convert, and share it so the whole team gets better.
- Act as the connective tissue between Account Leads, alumni prospects, and the internal teams that deliver on what you sell.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a sales, partnerships, customer, or other fast-paced role, or a recent grad who can point to real reps from internships, side hustles, or campus roles. We care more about horsepower than a specific résumé.
- A quick learner who closes their own gaps. If you don't know how to do something yet, you teach yourself, ask smart questions, and come back with it handled.
- A scrappy, self-starter mindset where you create your own pipeline and momentum without waiting to be handed a list.
- Genuinely comfortable with AI tools and automations, and eager to build workflows that let you outproduce a much larger team (our stack includes Claude, Granola, and Gemini).
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and the resilience to keep working a pipeline through no's to get to yes.
- Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication, so you can write outreach that gets replies and hold your own on a call.
- Organized and CRM-disciplined, with the instinct to keep data clean so the team can trust it.
- Coachable and low-ego, hungry to learn commercial partnerships from experienced Account Leads.
- Interest in college sports, NIL, or alumni/university networks is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
In your first year, success means you have become the growth engine your Account Leads rely on. You ramp fast, get up to speed on tools and process without hand-holding, and quickly start sourcing and qualifying alumni-owned businesses, keeping every assigned account's pipeline full and current, and directly closing a meaningful book of smaller and mid-sized deals while setting up larger ones for your Account Leads. Your AI-driven workflows let you cover more ground than the role has before, and the messaging and segment insights you surface make the whole account team more effective. You will be measured on qualified pipeline generated, meetings booked, revenue influenced and closed, and the accuracy of the data you own.
