The Role:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of Porter Logistics growth strategy. Your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging potential customers, setting up sales opportunities, and supporting John, our co founder and President, with the materials and insights needed to win business. This is a hybrid role combining lead generation, inside sales, and strategic sales support ideal for someone eager to learn and grow within logistics and supply chain sales.

This is an on-site role at our Atlanta campus. The compensation structure will be base pay + uncapped commission.

What You'll Do:

Lead Generation and Outreach

  • Identify and research potential customers in target industries.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, cold calls) to generate interest and book
  • meetings.
  • Qualify inbound leads and determine their fit for Porter Logistics' services.


Sales Support and Enablement

  • Track and manage leads in Hubspot, ensuring accurate data and follow-up schedules.
  • Develop sales materials and presentations to support business development efforts, including preparing sales decks, proposals, and RFP responses


Customer Engagement and Pipeline Growth

  • Take initial discovery calls with smaller prospective clients to assess their needs.
  • Help nurture leads by providing relevant information and maintaining engagement.
  • Support follow-up efforts with prospects and existing accounts.


What Were Looking For:

  • 2-4 years in business development or sales support, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and sales enablement platforms.
  • Proven ability to research leads, track sales data, and optimize outreach efforts.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of their work and is eager to contribute to a growing
  • team.
  • Collaborative mindset, working across sales and operations to drive results.


The Hiring Process:
