You approach your role with a mentoring and collaborative mindset, working to bridge the gap between industries and students across all regions of Alabama. Responsibilities

• Review student study completion and select top learners, ensuring coverage of rural areas and diverse backgrounds across the state.
• Further aid the selection of students by conducting teacher and counselor interviews for students who express interest in participation.
• Connect with corporate partners to build a formal process for intern selection, intake, training, and debrief.
• Work to achieve work-based learning credit status in future years.
• Collect feedback from all stakeholders to improve future programs.
• Host a graduation event designed to expose students to higher education analytics programs across the state.
• Coordinate with our economic impact evaluator.
• Coordinate with state universities to ensure participation and active recruiting of students.
• Work in partnership with Innovate Alabama and provide regular reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Education, etc.).
• Strong understanding of STEM-related fields and technology.
• Experience in coordinating internships, career coaching, or educational programs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data science and internships.
• Passion for education, mentorship, and fostering talent in the field of data science.
• Residence in or near Alabama
