About QuantHub

At QuantHub, we're building the world's most hyper-tailored learning platform - one that meets every learner exactly where they are and equips them with the skills to thrive in a technology-driven world. Our mission is to democratize learning in the digital age by making education more effective, more efficient, and more human. We're a small, high-ownership team that moves fast, thinks critically, and genuinely cares about the impact of what we build.

The Role

We're looking for an Associate Learning Experiences Designer to join our curriculum team. This is not a traditional instructional design role - it sits at the intersection of visual design, interaction design, and educational content. Your job is to take completed learning modules and make them better: more engaging, more interactive, and more visually compelling - without losing what makes them educationally effective.

You'll work closely with our instructional designers and engineers, operating within a real component library and a real LMS environment. That means making smart design decisions under constraints, not in an ideal-world vacuum. If you thrive when you have clear boundaries and find creative ways to push within them, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Review completed learning modules and identify opportunities to enhance visual engagement and interactivity
  • Process approximately 5 learning resources per day, diagnosing problems and recommending improvements using AI-integrated workflows
  • Propose and implement visual enhancements using our existing component library: diagrams, images, video, audio, and interactive elements
  • Translate pedagogical needs into interactive experiences that work within our LMS environment
  • When a needed component doesn't exist, prototype the solution using illustrative or dead-code prototypes that clearly communicate design intent to the engineering team
  • Evaluate the reusability and scalability of proposed components before bringing them to engineering
  • Use AI-integrated prototyping tools to rapidly iterate and explore ideas
  • Collaborate closely with instructional designers to maintain content integrity while improving engagement
  • Participate in regular design reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of decisions over time
  • Balance making content genuinely engaging without sacrificing educational value

What Success Looks Like Here

In this role, you'll know you're doing well when:

  • You're consistently processing 5+ learning resources per day with minimal rework
  • Learner engagement metrics on your modules hold steady or improve
  • Engineers describe your specs as clear, feasible, and well-documented
  • Instructional designers and engineers enjoy working with you
  • You're bringing solutions - not just flagging problems

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience in interaction design, visual design, or UX/UI with a focus on learning or educational content
  • Portfolio required - must include actual work samples from learning environments (EdTech, corporate training, or professional development)
    • Portfolio should demonstrate how you balance engagement with educational integrity
    • Should show design decisions and the thinking behind them - not just final outputs
  • Familiarity with component libraries and an understanding of what React components can do (the output of this role is design specs and prototypes, not production code)
  • Experience with AI-integrated prototyping or design-to-code tools
  • Working knowledge of LMS environments such as Blackboard, Canvas, or similar platforms
  • Strong visual taste and design sense - an eye for what's current without chasing trends for their own sake
  • The ability to make confident, pragmatic decisions in a constrained environment

Preferred

  • Background in EdTech, corporate training, or professional development
  • Experience designing for responsive layouts and mobile optimization
  • Understanding of accessibility requirements in educational content
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams and navigating technical trade-offs

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus an annual performance bonus opportunity
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) - we trust you to take the time you need, with a recommended minimum of 15 days per year
  • 11 paid holidays per year
  • Fully remote work
  • Comprehensive health benefits - medical, dental, vision, and supplemental coverage options
  • SIMPLE IRA with a 3% employer match

All benefits are subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements. Full plan documents available upon request.

Our Values

These aren't words on a wall. They're how we make decisions and how we show up every day.

  • Perpetual Innovators - Driven by ceaseless curiosity, always pushing what's possible
  • Humble Learners - We seek to understand before being understood; every interaction is a chance to grow
  • Ownership Mentality - Every challenge is personal, every success is collective; we figure it out
  • Self-Starters - We don't wait for opportunities, we create them
  • Team Synergy - We collaborate openly, share context proactively, and default to transparency
  • Analytically Grounded - Decisions are driven by insights, not impulses

How To Apply

If this sounds like you, we'd love to see your work. Portfolio submissions are required - applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Please email your portfolio to HR@Quanthub.com.
