What You’ll Do

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks — GL, AR/AP, journal entries, and reconciliations

• Assist with month-end close and ensure financial data is accurate and organized

• Help prepare monthly financial reports and contribute to board materials

• Partner with the CEO and Director of Business Operations on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Keep us on top of tax, compliance, and audit readiness

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and short-term planning

• Build and document efficient processes, controls, and reporting systems

• Learn and help evaluate potential migration from QuickBooks to a more advanced financial platform

• Use tools and automation (Google Sheets, Excel, SQL, Python) to make our workflows smarter and faster

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting, audit (Big 4 a plus), or as a financial analyst

• CPA or on track to get one (nice to have — not a deal breaker if you’re a grinder)

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GAAP is a plus)

• Detail-oriented with great organizational skills

• Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel — bonus points for SQL or Python

• Tech-savvy and eager to find ways to automate or improve processes

• Excited to work in a startup environment and help build a finance function from scratch

• Based in Tampa, FL (we’re building in-person)
